Region IV Representative

Deb has been interpreting since 1994 and has been a member of RID since 1993. She has an AS in interpreting, BS in Human Services, and an MA in Public Administration. Additionally she has had specialty training/coursework in legal interpreting via UNCO and medical interpreting via NTID. Deb believes in education for all whether it be formal coursework or informal training via workshops and continuing education. She has worked as an associate faculty member at a community college and has both coordinated trainings and presented workshops at several local, state, and national conferences. Learning is a passion and she continues to enjoy attending trainings and conferences as time permits. Deb has a solid history of volunteering for local, state, and national Deaf and interpreting organizations in many capacities. She began volunteering for Massachusetts RID soon after becoming an interpreter and most recently served as the chair of the RID Legal Interpreters Member Section prior the Regional Representative position. Deb provides service within RID as well as on local and state boards within Texas as she strongly believes in the benefit of volunteering for the greater good.
