International Sign Wrap-up

This is the conclusion to the multiple day experience with Nigel.

Sunday: All-day workshop in IS
Monday, Tuesday: Practicum hours in IS
Wednesday: Wrap-up session

This workshop will be conducted in International Sign (IS) with brief use of ASL at the beginning for introductions, explanations and expectations. There will be sufficient amount of practices with IS. Brief discussions will be on the techniques on co-interpretation, utilization of appropriate signs for visual sensibility and clarity, and the process management from ASL to IS and/or Spoken language to ASL to IS. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be rotational hands-on practices to apply the techniques for effective IS interpretation. Summarization of the activities will be covered on Wednesday, including constructive feedback and tools for future development on skills.
