Jason Hurdich, M.Ed, CDI

Jason Hurdich is a Deaf native ASL signer from New York City who has taught college-level ASL and Signed Language Interpretation classes for 30 years at various colleges and universities.
He received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and his Master of Education degree in Signed Language Interpretation from the University of North Florida.
He is a Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID) Certified Deaf Interpreter and has been interpreting professionally for 20 years as a Deaf Interpreter. He has also been active in the interpreting field for 25 years, including as the first-ever Lead Call Center Manager of Spanish VRS services and as a Professional Development Coordinator for ASL Services, Inc.
Additionally, he has worked as a researcher for ten years, leading Sign Language Projects for Vcom3D, Inc. and writing federal and state grants to improve STEM and literacy knowledge among Deaf and Hard of Hearing K-12, and post-secondary students.
He has received numerous awards and accolades for his work in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. He is currently a Senior Lecturer of American Sign Language at Clemson University. In his free time, he enjoys exploring local coffee shops and creating social media content on different platforms.
